"Resist,Resound,Respond
FOR CHANGE!"

“Holding a pen of integrity, together we shall stand.
Blot the sheet of future with wise choice in carte blanche.
The endeavor of creating change is up to you now.
Should you consider the future race or
Should you choose the unwise one?”

Few months to go, I will turn eighteen and I will exercise my right of suffrage as cited in the Philippine Constitution. I still have a year to think of a better choice before the 2010 presidential election.

I doubt if I could cast a good vote then, but as I listen to the rumored electoral candidates with resounding sound trying to persuade their constituents. I know that the country of Juan Dela Cruz will be deceive forever if I cast a ballot with the same mistake committed by many.

Choosing who will lead the country is hard. A wrong choice will result to negative impact to our country. Thus, I am afraid to face the transformation of becoming a real Filipino. All I know, we should take it by heart if not we better take it never. If Filipino’s lie to elect a leader of integrity or will and heart. I am sure that our country will shine no matter the crises. I stand that a leader elected is true leader and respectful. A leader of plan is a leader of achievement.

The crises and problems caused by a bad leadership in the Government are the lessons for Filipino’s should not forget. History can be made by electing a leader who has dignity will achieve excellence and above all, a leader who will serve by heart.

I remembered, when our senior president in Legion of Mary chose me as one of the participants in Pinoy Voter’s Academy it is a training for all Filipino voter’s which are organized by Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible voting (PPCRV), Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan (SLB) and San Jose Seminary, Ateneo De Manila University. This is the first time I understand that we should be serious and responsible enough by electing a leader which can cause our country into worst or better situation. After that day I promised to myself that if I will turn eighteen, I will vote for a “leader that has the commitment to do what the country’s need to achieve no matter how hard it is.

He must also be concerned about other people. He must have the personality to command, respect and humility to accept mistake, admit that he was wrong and does take anything on a very personal basis. Lastly and mostly important He should have a BRAVEHEART which will serve as his shield during the dark days of his leadership, source of strength and weapon to fight the evil elements that come his way.

We should not make another mistake this time, or else we will be drowned forever. Let us practice our right as Filipinos, together let us vote for the right candidate!

“As you write your candidate on the sheet please think to the hungry masses starving for a change that is the only way we can do. Drench your pen in the ink of truth therefore you can have a choice with good fruit.”

Living with a Purpose

Everyday living is a usual challenge to everyday. We have different ways on how to deal our problems that challenge our abilities and skills as well as our faith for survival. In any circumstances, we will not learn if there is no challenge at all. This debut blog aims top elaborate on the said topic. I hope that after you read this blog. You will understand the true meaning of life with God.

Living with purpose is such a wonderful way to be with God helps us to understand what he really wants to convey to everyone. Many times, we usually feel that helping other people is difficult to do because we always assume that helping is always about money. But if we open our mind and heart to the people around us, we observe that there is more important aspect in life that money cannot bestow and is not about living but instead doing something for the sake of people and understanding their feelings. God always consider mankind as his purpose that’s why he gives us our freewill to choose for everything that we need. It’s his way to shape us to become people with dignity, respect to each other and face different challenges in life squarely.

I remember one time at around 3:00 in the afternoon; I went to the chapel of San Sebastian to say a little prayer before going home. I promised myself from the time when God granted my wish to continue my study in my current school that I always drop by the chapel. I saw a man not over 60 years of age seriously praying in the left part of the room. He actually caught my attention because of his clothing; He looked like a scavenger and it made me feel. I saw a man not over 60 years of age seriously praying in the left part of the room. He actually caught my attention because of his clothing; He looked like a scavenger and it made me feel uncomfortable. After a few minutes, I become restless looking at him without any reason and my concentration in praying were already gone. I thought he noticed that someone is looking at him that’s why he looked at me. I saw his eyes begging for help.

At that moment, I really did not know what I felt and then silence occupied the room so I decided to concentrate myself in praying. “ Iho, anong pangalan mo?” this is the exact question that the man asked me and I answered him in a rough voice. Our conversation gone further, I discovered that he is parted with his family many years ago. I felt the bitterness in his eyes as well as the regret of being away with his family. I told him to be strong and be faithful to God because in every problem there is always a good reason.

Our life is like an arena where in there is a winner and loser; we need to strive harder for us to meet our expectation in life. But, we should bear in mind that in every achievement there is a failure and it is God’s intention to help us find our purpose in life. The best way of finding our purpose is serving other people in our own ways. What I have written above is a good example of helping. I helped that man so that he could release all the problems that bothered to him. I just simply lent my ears to hear all his regret and bitterness.

My experience of helping is such an honor to me. It helped me to perceive what God wants me to do and I am happy that somehow I already marked the beginning of new life to live with purpose.
